Top Soil
Grade A Top Soil
This soil is our flagship top quality soil suitable for flower beds, raised vegetable beds, landscaping projects and lawns.
The top soil is screened to 10mm along with a small quantity of sand and soil conditioner.
Grade B Top Soil
The second grade soil is screened to 20mm without any additional products creating the perfect soil to use as an infill or raising of levels.
British Standard 3882 Top Soil
The British Standard Specification for Topsoil, BS3882:2007, was revised in late 2015 with a new standard BS3882:2015.
This top soil is tested and must pass specific analysis to prove:
- Fertility
- Free from contamination
- Soil Structure and Classification
BS 3882: 2015 ensures that each certified topsoil mix contains the correct pH level, the correct acid/alkaline balance; the ideal physical composition to help avoid compaction; the right electrical conductivity value; as well as the maximum level of stones or sharps permitted.
